“Culture and art are one of the three strategic support areas of Baltisches Haus, which we have been supporting for almost two decades. During this time, we have become convinced that targeted, consistent and significant support can make a big difference in culture and art and other supported areas. It is really gratifying when small and niche events grow into the most awaited events of the year in Lithuania, when supported museums become a symbol not only of art knowledge, but also of quality leisure time. By announcing the competition for the first time, we hope to establish new long-term partnerships with representatives of culture and art who are proactive, believe in their activities and create an obvious change in society”, says Audrius Masionis, director of Baltisches Haus.

According to the company’s support policy, 4-5% of net profit is allocated to support every year. This year, the total support budget of Baltisches Haus amounts to 630,000 euros. Of these, the company has already allocated 250,000 euros to education, 140,000 euros to social care, and 90,000 euros to cultural and art organizations that have been supported for several years. The remaining part of the culture and art budget – EUR 150,000 – will be distributed to new partners through a tender.

All cultural and art organizations registered in Lithuania, having the status of a recipient of support, and performing their activities in the fields of literature, music, stage, applied, visual, audio-visual, interdisciplinary and other arts are invited to participate in the competition. The application form and the competition rules can be downloaded from the Baltisches Haus website https://balthaus.eu/, in the news section. Application deadline – š. m. May 24 inclusive. The final results of the competition are planned to be announced no later than this. m. June 30

According to the data of the State Data Agency, in 2022 Legal entities registered in Lithuania granted 159.5 million to organizations with the status of a recipient of support. 9.2 million euros of support, of which 9.2 million were allocated to the field of culture and art. EUR or 5.8% of the total support amount. The largest amount of support was allocated to sports – 55.9 million. euros (35.1%). Almost half of all support in 2022 provided by companies operating in the wholesale and retail trade and manufacturing sectors – 74.7 million. euros (46.9%).
