The “Luktelk” wave has reached Vilnius buses and trolleybuses: it is also intended for drivers

The first semi-final of Eurovision, which took place on Tuesday evening, was successful for Lithuanian representative Silvester Belt. The guy who performed well made it to the finals.

On that occasion, the majority of Vilnius residents could sing the Lithuanian Eurovision song from the morning on Wednesday, as they were constantly reminded of it by the buses and trolleybuses driving through the streets of the capital.

“53. Go ahead.”

Such were the buses and trolleybuses of Vilnius on Wednesday morning, forcing you to hum or at least sway to the beat of the song “Luktelk”.

As Vitalija Ročė, the Communications and Marketing Manager of the municipal company “Susiasiekimo paslaugos” (JUDU), stated, it is good that this Luktelkt support campaign was noticed.

For this LUKTELK campaign, we prepared and planned to support Silvester Belt’s performance on the Eurovision stage. Even yesterday, before the performance on the Eurovision stage, part of Vilnius’ public transport was already broadcasting LUKTELK’s message, regardless of whether Lithuania would have made it to the final.

Today we are even more happy that the representative of Lithuania has already entered the Eurovision final. LUKTELK’s message of support will be in the capital’s public transport until May 11, almost all buses and trolleybuses will be decorated with it, except for a small part, which due to the vehicle itself does not have the possibility to change the inscription or there are technical obstacles to it”, said V. Roče.

She also emphasized that together with the LUKTELK support campaign, the LUKTELK wave is being initiated, which encourages the drivers of the capital’s public transport to “RACE passengers rushing to the bus or trolleybus (to watch Eurovision and not only)”.

On Tuesday, May 7, 15 contestants fought for a ticket to the final in the first Eurovision semi-final, among which the Lithuanian representative Silvester Belt performed with the song “Luktelk”.

During the evening, it was revealed that Silvester Belt made it to the finals, which will take place on May 11. During the conference, after the semi-final, it was announced that the song “Luktelk” by the Lithuanian representative will be played in the first part of the final.
