According to “Made in Vilnius”, a new Korean food restaurant “GoGi Guy” recently opened in its place. If we enter the name of the “Belgai” restaurant in Google search, we will see information that the restaurant is permanently closed. He lived for 17 years.

Egidijus Valickas, who became the owner of the restaurant in 2020 Delphi stated that it ceased operations because it was not possible to work profitably. The facility was closed last December.

“I didn’t see the point in keeping it and covering the losses. When I came to work in 2020, the beginning was not bad, but then energy resources started to become more expensive, wages rose and costs could not be controlled, sales did not cover costs”, – Delphi said E. Valickas.

The restaurant had 11 employees.

According to the data of the Register Center, the company “Du restoranai”, which managed the “Belgai” restaurant, is bankrupt.

In 2023, the company experienced 36.7 thousand EUR losses, in 2022 – almost 7 thousand. euros.

Her debt to “Sodra” amounts to 7.2 thousand. euros.

According to Made in Vilnius, the restaurant aimed to introduce visitors to Belgian cuisine, unexpected combinations of flavors, refined food quality and German generosity. The interior of the restaurant was also designed with Belgian culture in mind. Therefore, visitors who visited the restaurant could feel as if they were in Belgium.

The restaurant appeared on the map of Vilnius gastronomy in 2007. After overcoming several crises, the coronavirus and other difficulties, the restaurant had to be closed. In its place, from the beginning of 2024, another restaurant serving Korean dishes is trying to succeed.
