Alytus district mayor Rasa Vitkauskienė together with the mayors of Alytus region municipalities signed an agreement on 2024-2029. Investments in tourism infrastructure

All municipalities of the Alytus region – Alytus, Lazdijai, Varėna districts, Alytus city and Druskininkai – will cooperate in the field of tourism. In the Alytus district, the development of bicycle paths is planned in Daugai, Nemunaitis, Punia and Alovė wards.

Many will be even more attractive to tourists. Public spaces and the beach will be organized here. Lake Daugai will be adapted for rowing, and rowers will be equipped with modern infrastructure adapted to their needs.
