Clear reward growth system

According to S. Savickienė, the clear salary increase highlighted in the “Lidl Lietuva” campaign is ensured by a gradual salary increase system. For the employees of the stores and the logistics center, there are four stages – the levels of salary increase for several years ahead.

“The tiered salary system allows employees to feel secure and know how their salary will change several years ahead. It gives team members more motivation and promotes loyalty. In addition, for the third year in a row, we have additionally increased the salaries of store and logistics center employees. From January 1 of this year. salaries of these employees rose by 4-9% on average. We also offer team members other means of strengthening the reward package, such as Lidl cards,” says S. Savickienė.

She notes that “Lidl Lietuva” is the market leader in terms of average salary – in the first quarter of this year, the average salary of employees working at “Lidl Lietuva” reached 2346.46 euros and was the highest among the five largest retail chains in the country, according to the portal “Rekvizitai.lt” data of employees who worked for a full calendar month.

Clear career opportunities

“Lidl Lietuva” is also distinguished by the opportunities for growth provided to all employees, so this became another highlight of the new campaign.

“Our team members, who have started working in sales positions, have the opportunity to rise to the position of deputy manager, and later to the position of store manager. People with no managerial experience can also apply for management positions. We provide comprehensive theoretical and practical training to all newly joined store management staff. We constantly provide existing employees with opportunities to improve, encourage personal initiatives that allow them to move up the career ladder faster, and provide various additional trainings,” says S. Savickienė.

Support team? Ofcourse!

The new employer image campaign of “Lidl Lietuva” highlights not only financial benefits or career prospects, but also the internal culture fostered by the company, the most important part of which is teamwork.

“A supportive team at work is no less important factor than salary or career opportunities. In our stores, all employees work on a rotating basis and know how to do all the necessary work in the hall, so they help each other when necessary, including the store managers. Supporting each other improves the mutual atmosphere, employees become more motivated and feel more satisfied with their work”, asserts S. Savickienė.
