A scholarship named after K. Lozoraitis will be awarded in Kaunas

May 11 (Saturday) at 2 p.m. A Press Ball will be held at the Kaunas House of Journalists (48 V. Putvinskio St.), during which a Kazis Lozoraitis scholarship will be awarded to a journalism student or group of students. We invite you to participate!

The press ball is organized by the Union of Lithuanian Journalists, and the Lithuanian Journalists’ Association, which maintains collegial relations with it, will present a new LŽD award during the event – the Kazios Lozoraitis scholarship to journalism students.

in 2024 In January, the Lithuanian Society of Journalists (LŽD) established an annual Kazios Lozoraitis scholarship for Lithuanian students studying journalism. This scholarship is established with the consent of Mrs. Daina Lozoraitis, the daughter of Kazi and Giovanna Lozoraičius of bright memory; also – starting to celebrate the year 2024, announced by the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania During the years of the Lozoraičius family.

Scholarships purpose – to support talented journalism students and to promote honest and courageous journalistic work that fosters respect for individual dignity and the strengthening of a society of free and responsible people.

Scholarships candidates: every student studying in the field of journalism in Lithuania can submit an application or nominate a colleague.

Society of Lithuanian Journalists annually announces a thematic competition for those who wish to receive a nominal scholarship. Candidates can also participate by choosing another subject.

Proposed topic for 2024: Traces of the Lozoraičiai family in the history of Lithuania and today.
