Alytus handball masters had enough “gunpowder” to win bronze at the international tournament

On April 24-25, a friendly handball tournament was held in Germany (Greifswald), in which 5 teams participated.

The masters of Alytus handball club “Dzūkija” played the first match in a draw: they won one match and lost two with a difference of one point.

HC “Dzūkija” – HC “Vorpommern Greifswald II/III” 10:10;

HC “Dzūkija” – HC “HCAnklamer” 13:4;

HC “Dzūkija” – HC “Freunde Stralsund” 8:9;

HC “Dzūkija” – HC HC Vorpommern Greifswald 9:10.

The Alytus handball club “Dzūkija” team was represented by 13 players from Alytus: Gintaras Krasnickas, Virginijus Jurkonis, Gerimantas Žukauskas, Mindaugas Balkevičius, Silvestras Liudvinavičius, Dainius Jacevičius, Robertas Svirskas, Albertas Žilionis, Vytautas Bagdonas, Raimundas Šeštakauskas, Arminas Krikščiūnas, Hartmut Mittelstadt, Visvaldas Struck.

Next year, the German handball masters are planning to come to the city of Alytus not only to participate in a friendly tournament organized by the residents of Dzūkai, but also to get to know the history and culture of our city.
