Kaunas district The officers of the Kaunas district police commissariat of VPK received information about the body of a woman found in the Kaliningrad region. According to preliminary data, it is possible in Kaunas on January 12. the body of a young woman who had left and disappeared.
“Additional experts’ conclusions confirming the identity of the found body are awaited,” Kaunas police state.
The girl who came from the Klaipėda region to study in the temporary capital lived in one of the city’s dormitories. Just before the tragedy, she wrote a disturbing message on social networks that she was being bullied, naming three young men and one girl.
“I am on the Radzinauskas (Lampėdžių) bridge. I don’t want to live in a world where abusers win,” wrote a student from Žemaitija on Facebook on Friday night, around 4 o’clock, mentioning more details related to possible humiliations.

According to prosecutor Arūnas Čepkauskas, these students also gave evidence in the search case.

From the first days of the search, officers combed the banks of the Nemunas River, the entrances to the dormitory where the girl lived, drones were also raised, police canine specialists with service dogs were used, and video camera footage was reviewed.
The divers of the fire department were not able to search underwater at first because of the iceberg that endangered them, but after a while the natural conditions allowed it, and the search was carried out in Nemunas.
Kaunas firefighters searched for the girl’s body in Nemunas for a month and a half.
