The 31-year-old VW Golf driver explained to the authorities that she was in a hurry to get to work, and an administrative offense report was issued to her, the Kaunas County Police reported.

In order to ensure safety on the road, the officers of the Kaunas County Chief Police Commissariat continued to check how road users obey the Road Traffic Rules last week, on April 22-28.

During the week, traffic police officers recorded 530 cases of speeding with mobile speed measuring devices. The woman mentioned above was the most speeding offender.

Over the weekend, traffic police officers carried out police measures aimed at clarifying drunk drivers and other traffic violations. Police officers in Kaunas and Kaunas district, in the cities and districts of Kėdainiai and Kaišiadorii checked more than 6.5 thousand. means of transportation. During them, they identified 14 drunk drivers (the degree of drunkenness varied from 0.41 percent to 1.24 percent).

In total, during the past week, traffic police officers identified 15 drunk drivers (another 9 were identified by colleagues from other departments) and 23 persons who drove a vehicle without having the right to do so.

During the implemented measures, the officers also found other violations of KET.
