Revealed how much it costs to clean up a grave for Mother’s Day: the service is becoming very popular

--

The interlocutor told us what wishes Lithuanians have for the maintenance of Mother’s Day cemeteries, what kind of people usually choose such services and how much this service can cost.

The most important thing is live flowers

On the occasion of Mother’s Day, many people remember their beloved mother, which makes it almost a necessity to take care of mothers’ graves.

“After the winter season, there are always more orders than usual. Although we started the season quite early this year, Mother’s Day remains one of the most popular dates for cemetery maintenance,” said the interviewer.

She said that Lithuanians do not have special wishes for the Mother’s Day cemetery, but it is important for them to decorate the grave with live flowers:

“Experience shows that on more important occasions, customers tend to focus more on larger arrangements of live flowers.

We do not receive special requests regarding the management of the cemetery. I think like everyone else, people expect a neat, clean gravesite image.”

Customers are the most diverse

According to L. Liutkauskienė, it is difficult to draw an accurate picture of customers using such services. They get orders from all kinds of people.

“We could not single out a specific contingent of people who order cemetery management services.

These are often our compatriots living abroad. Also the elderly who, due to their health condition, no longer have the strength to visit their departed loved ones.

Also, higher income earners, businessmen who, due to lack of time, entrust the maintenance of cemeteries to professionals in their field,” she explained.

The price of the service varies

L. Liutkauskienė reveals that the price of such a service may fluctuate. However, it usually costs tens, not hundreds of euros.

“The price of cemetery maintenance services ranges from 39 euros to 69 euros for one-time cleaning,” she revealed.

However, the woman added that the price may vary depending on the condition of the grave:

“Recently, we have been receiving significantly more requests to clean up neglected cemeteries.

The amount of maintenance of these cemeteries can vary up to 100 euros for general maintenance. Often, the price is determined when specialists assess the condition of the existing cemetery.”

We also receive last minute orders

When asked if she also receives calls just a few days before Mother’s Day, L. Liutkauskienė reveals that she does.

“You really have to wait for last minute orders. Although we don’t always have time to go and clean up the cemetery “here and now”, as the client wishes, we always try to offer a free day for the next cleaning.

However, our team’s goal is to remind the public that no calendar holidays are necessary to remember our departed loved ones,” she emphasized.
