As the court announced on Monday, RV was sentenced to six months in prison by the verdict of April 26. After combining it with the unserved sentence, the person is sentenced to imprisonment of three years and four months.

According to the court, RV has been found guilty for the 26th time.

According to the case, in December of last year, while serving a limited prison sentence in semi-open conditions, the convict climbed over three fences of the prison and escaped from the prison.

The fugitive confessed to the crime and explained that he invented the escape from prison in order to draw attention to himself. When testifying in court, the person claimed that he acted recklessly and unjustifiably.

According to the case data, the officers, who noticed the person leaving with the ladder, warned him that a firearm would be used, but the man did not react to this and suddenly left in an unknown direction.

RV stated that after escaping from the prison, he hid in the forest for a few days, heard that the officers were looking for him, then walked along the tracks and forests to the city of Kaunas. He was later arrested by the police.

The verdict can be appealed within 20 days.
