On Friday, the Kaunas District Court decided to extend the detention of Algimantas Ulvidus, who is accused of molesting minors, for three months.
On Friday, the Kaunas District Court decided to extend the detention of Algimantas Ulvidus, who is accused of molesting minors, for three months.
As reported by Tautvilė Merkevičiūtė, the press representative of the Kaunas district court, the arrest of A. Ulvid has been extended in the case in which the man is accused of molesting a person younger than 16 years old and possessing pornographic content.
There are 25 victims and 193 witnesses in this case.
“This large-scale case is being examined very intensively, court hearings are held every week, according to today’s data, 184 participants in the process have already been questioned, or their testimony has been heard in court,” said T. Merkevičiūtė.
The Kaunas District Court has received four cases of A. Ulvids regarding the molestation of underage girls.
A. Ulvidas had escaped from Lithuania, but last year, in June, he was detained in Denmark. The man had a previous conviction for molestation of minors.
