On Sunday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., visiting the branches of the Šiauliai “Aušras” museum will be free.

In Chaim Frenkel’s villa, there are permanent exhibitions “Provincial Manor and City”, “Jewish Cultural Heritage in Šiauliai: Merchants of the Frenkels” and the exhibition “Lithvak Painters in Paris”.

The Museum of Photography presents the museum’s open exposition “Freedom for photography!” and the exhibition “Life under the table” by Raimundos Urbonas.

On the first floor of the Venclauskii House, there is an exhibition of creative works by the students of Šiauliai Saulius Sondeckis Arts Gymnasium “Ethnoatspindžiai”, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the gymnasium’s founding.

At 1 p.m., a guided tour of the exhibition “Let the ideas of Vladas Pūtvis spread across the nation” is organized on the second floor of the Venclauskii House.

At the Šiauliai History Museum, the tour “Museum’s Gold Fund” will start at 12 o’clock. The main topics discussed during the excursion will be sacred, traditional and applied Lithuanian folk art. After getting acquainted with the museum’s gold fund, the tour participants will hear how the museum valuables got to the museum, how they survived the war.

The Bicycle Museum, the Radio and Television Museum, and the Žaliūki miller’s homestead will also open their doors for free visits.
