“In a closed session, the issue of accepting the complaint was discussed, the material is not public, the decision not to accept the complaint was left in force,” court representative Neringa Lukoševičienė told Elta.

The decision made on Wednesday is final and cannot be appealed, A.Stumbras lost the opportunity to dispute the decisions that were unfavorable to him.

In the administrative case, the Government, represented by the Ministry of Energy, as well as the Coordination Commission for the Protection of Important Objects for National Security, represented by the Government Chancellery, the operator of the Lithuanian electricity transmission system Litgrid, as third parties – Energijos turto investicijos, Energijos Parkai participated in the administrative case.

As the “lrt.lt” portal announced, at the end of last year, the requests of A. Stumbro’s companies “Energijos parkai” and “Energijos turto investicijos” to conclude protocols of intent to connect to the electricity network of the company “Litgrid” were rejected due to the businessman’s connections threatening national security. This fact was confirmed by the Government Office.

She told “lrt.lt” that the Coordinating Commission for the Protection of Important Objects for Ensuring National Security considered the 2023 October 19 came to the conclusion that “Litgrid” plans to sign the protocols of intent to connect electrical devices to the power grid with UAB “Energijos parkai” and UAB “Energijos turto investicijos” do not meet the national security interests of the Republic of Lithuania. These conclusions were submitted to the Government, and they were approved in 2023. November 19 by relevant Government resolutions.

For its part, VSD confirmed that it has completed the evaluation of the transactions planned to be concluded by the company “Litgrid”.
