Such statements were made by the head of the KGB while speaking at the People’s Assembly of All Belarus, reports the Russian state news agency “RIA Novosti”.

He explained that the State Security Committee, in cooperation with colleagues from other security structures, took urgent measures that made it possible to prevent attacks by combat drones.

Allegedly, these strikes were to be carried out from the territory of Lithuania to targets in Minsk and its suburbs.

According to I. Tertelis, “radicals in Lithuania and Poland are producing drones to attack the most important targets in Belarus.”

Vitkauskas: we have been hearing this for a long time

The head of the National Crisis Management Center, Vilmantas Vitkauskas, says that the information disseminated by the Belarusian services about pseudo-groups allegedly residing in Lithuania and Poland, aiming to harm Belarus, is not new.

According to him, we have been hearing such narratives for a long time, they became especially active in the Baltic countries during NATO exercises of a defensive nature, Lukashenka also spoke in a similar way at the beginning of March.

“Such statements by the Belarusian KGB can be evaluated as a continuous hostile provocation and an informational attack against Lithuania that has nothing to do with reality. It can be estimated that they are also intended for the domestic audience of the country, as the “nation’s meeting” is currently taking place. We would like to remind you that citizens of Lithuania traveling to Belarus are faced with increasing pressure and interrogations by the security services of this country, so there remains an urgent recommendation to refuse any trips in this direction,” he says in the comment.
