Covid brought to the village

Vytaras, who recently moved to the village, says that he never had such a plan. The unexpected turn in life, according to the man, was determined by the COVID-19 pandemic that hit the world.

“During Covid, I realized what a lottery I had won. When it was impossible to go anywhere, I sit in the forest, there is electricity, the Internet is there and I want to go to the sauna in the middle of the day, I want to do something else and I realized that I can live and I don’t want to go to the city anymore”, V. Radzevičius remembers the beginning of life in the village .

Accidentally bought catfish Jaronim

The interviewer says that he has had a connection with animals since childhood. I had to raise both dogs and guinea pigs. However, one of Vytar’s more interesting pets was a catfish named Jaronimas. He found out about the unplanned purchase of just such an aquatic animal when strange things started happening in the fish aquarium.

“My daughter really wanted an aquarium, fish, so I bought a small aquarium and small fish, and then all the fish disappeared, but one grew a lot. It turns out that it was a catfish”, laughs Vytaras.

Vytaras jokes that after the catfish got fed up with all the aquarium’s neighbors and grew so much that the aquarium became too cramped, they had to say goodbye to the pet. They say that it was a pity to eat it, but Jaronim was like a family member, so they decided to release the pet into the Užupis meadows.

Vytaras thinks that maybe even today the catfish Jaronim is still swimming in open waters.

Saw an ad in the newspaper

The Radzevic family not only raised exotic fish, but also purchased real farm animals at an affordable price.

“I pick up a local newspaper, I look in the classifieds section, there are Nubian goats for sale. I might have missed it, but I was very interested in the price. 25 euros each. So, is there money here?”, V. Radzevičius recalls.
