Who can get a loan?

As Vaidas Daktariūnas, Chief Project Manager of the financial institution “Invega” stated in the program “Delfi diena”, both private and public legal entities can apply for a loan. The interlocutor added that the loan requirements are imposed on the borrowers themselves and the projects they are implementing.

“The client must not experience difficulties, the projects must be economically viable. There are more criteria, but these are the main ones”, commented V. Daktariūnas.

According to the specialist, those who want to use electricity from renewable resources for their farms can apply for a loan.

When asked who specifically can get a loan to install a solar or wind power plant, the Invegos representative assured that both current and future generating users can apply.

“The loan can be obtained by those who want to become producing consumers, already existing consumers and those who do not supply electricity to the grid”, explained V. Dakatariūnas.

The specialist commented that currently loans for the installation of solar and wind power plants are granted only to legal entities, and soon farmers will be able to use this opportunity as well.

Other financial assistance

Deiminta Noreikienė, the director of the company “Saulės brųa” was added to the first interviewer. According to her, the market for solar power plants remains stable at the moment, but the mentioned loan can be really useful for legal entities.

As D. Noreikienė stated in the “Delfi diena” show, businesses should also be interested in a loan because of the attractive loan interest rates.

However, the mentioned loan is not the only financial assistance for those who want to install power plants. According to the interlocutor, in addition to the loan, there is also support for both individuals and legal entities.

“Currently, small and very small companies can apply for support to install a solar power plant of up to 500 kW, the support is distributed by the Lithuanian Energy Agency. Medium-sized companies can also apply for support to install accumulators”, commented D. Noreikienė.

She added that private individuals are currently waiting for new support, which will be distributed by APVA in the second quarter.
