The Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) on Wednesday temporarily suspended the acceptance of applications from businesses, farmers and renewable energy associations for the installation of solar power plants and accumulators, the agency announced on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Energy approved revised project financing conditions, according to which the conditions of calls for applications published by LEAs must also be revised, as a result of which the acceptance of applications has been suspended for 5 working days – until May 2.

“The revised project financing conditions now more clearly regulate the provision of this investment support. It has been established that renewable resource energy communities and citizens’ energy communities can operate on the same principle as developers of remote electric parks,” said the temporary director of the LEA, Agnė Bagočiutė.

According to her, the revised financing conditions will also apply to the applications submitted by the associations so far. The financing conditions for other companies and farmers do not change.

So far, the agency has already received 224 applications requesting nearly 9.5 million dollars. support for solar power plants. It is planned to install them with a total power of about 18.2 megawatts.

Also received 58 applications requesting more than 2.7 million. EUR support for storage facilities with a total capacity of about 9.2 megawatt hours.
