“The above-mentioned text was used in the training for evaluators of the Lithuanian language and literature intermediate examination. Training lecturers could use all available texts in training. Task organizers and training organizers do not have any links. Therefore, the fact that the text that was included in the assignments was examined in the training is a random coincidence,” NŠA said in the reply sent to Elta.

“While preparing for the test, teachers and students analyzed many texts, it is difficult to estimate the probability of whether the text of the task will ever be seen before or not, because the texts are not newly written, they are taken from works that were already created and publicly available,” he added for the interim tests responsible agency.

The portal lrt.lt was the first to report that during the mid-term examination some of the eleventh graders received the text analyzed during the lessons.

According to LRT, Alis Balbierius’ “Sterilizing World” came into focus. It was presented to the teachers of the Lithuanian language in March during training on how the midterm examination will be conducted by the lecturers of NŠA.

ELTA reminds that during the Lithuanian speaking session, which started on Tuesday, eleventh-graders should present the published publicist text and discuss its topic.

The mid-term examination of NŠA, Lithuanian language and literature will last about 30 minutes for one student. 20 points can be collected during this inspection.

When the midterms began, there was a wave of indignation over poorly prepared assignments. In response to criticism, the Minister of Education, Science and Sports, Gintautas Jakštas, commissioned expert evaluations of mathematics and physics knowledge tests. However, the management of ŠMSM announced that they will not back down from the mid-term examinations of schoolchildren who caused dissatisfaction.

Up to 40% can be obtained during the intermediate examination. final exam evaluation points that are sufficient to pass the exam. Eleventh-graders will take one mid-term examination of each subject, with the exception of Lithuanian language and literature and mathematics, which will be two each.

If the obtained result is not satisfactory, the students can retake the intermediate achievement tests in 2025. in the spring, in the 4th grade of high school, except for the first (speaking) mid-term examination of Lithuanian language and literature. The retake option will be available for one year only – for first-time graduates who take mid-term exams.

If a student gets 0 points in the mid-term test, they will still be able to take the matriculation exam for that subject. Those who could not participate in the mid-term examination due to justifiable reasons will be able to take it next year, together with the then eleventh graders.
