As announced by the Vilnius County Police, on Tuesday night, around 0:00 AM. 3 min., in Vilnius, on Sodų Street, a 33-year-old man was found beaten and robbed, a Samsung mobile phone, an MI Xiaomi power bank, a travel bag with personal items and a wallet with documents and 200 euros were stolen from him.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he received medical attention. He continues to receive outpatient treatment.
The 31-year-old suspect, who was found with stolen items, was taken into custody.
A preliminary investigation into the robbery has been launched.
A person who steals someone else’s property by using physical violence or threatening to use it immediately or by otherwise depriving the victim of the opportunity to resist, shall be punished by arrest or imprisonment for up to six years.
