The grand opening of the new Rimi Express in Vilnius: an unexpected format, a wheel of fortune for customers and a tasting of the most popular products

The new shopping place will meet the needs of visitors in a hurry who come to the shopping center from the surrounding offices during their lunch break, and when forming the assortment, the greatest attention is paid to the quality selection of ready-made food, various drinks and snacks.

72 square meters m. area store – the first “Rimi” store opened this year in Vilnius and the twelfth “Rimi Express” format store in the whole of Lithuania, in the installation of which 140 thousand was invested. euros. In addition, the retail chain, which keeps pace with innovation, will welcome customers in this Rimi Express store with electronic price tags, which are a more convenient and sustainable option not only for customers, but also for employees.

The “Rimi” retail chain, which has been actively expanding in recent years, is also planning to open several new stores this year. According to V. Lukoševičius, the manager of “Rimi”, investments are made in the development of stores of different formats, fulfilling the needs of customers living and working both in the suburbs and in the central parts of cities.

“The development of new shopping centers remains one of our most important tasks this year. We continue to invest in the development of a network of smaller stores. Today we opened the newest Rimi Express store in Panorama with a carefully selected assortment. It is what is needed by the customers who come here and are near the shopping center and who work there and are often in a hurry”, says V. Lukoševičius.

According to him, although the largest format store of Rimi Hyper also operates in the same building, it is expected that the additional space will speed up the shopping process and make the everyday life of some customers easier: “Customers traditionally visit small format stores to have coffee, other drinks, something to eat, take care of breakfast or lunch. After analyzing the expectations, wishes and needs of our customers, we realized that this store will perfectly complement our “Rimi” operating a little deeper in the shopping center and will become another convenient point for purchasing goods needed for quick shopping.”

According to V. Lukoševičius, great attention was also paid to the formation of the assortment. In this store, customers will find a wide selection of ready-made “Mano dienai” products, as well as an assortment of snacks, fresh fruits and vegetables, they will be able to calmly drink coffee purchased on the spot and buy fresh baked goods.

The “Rimi Express” concept is adapted to the rhythm of life and needs of a modern city dweller. This small store is equipped with the latest solutions, and the offered range is formatted in such a way that customers who visit can find both essential everyday goods and food to take away and eat on site. We will also have ready-made lunch sets: several types of salads, main courses and healthier snacks prepared by our Rimi chefs. Customers will also be able to purchase freshly squeezed juices, pureed fruit cocktails, ice cream and enjoy coffee with freshly baked buns”, says the representative of the network.

The store was opened in the lower square of the shopping center, next to the main entrance of Panorama, where the flow of visitors is usually one of the highest. The store has two entrances, so customers can conveniently enter it both from inside the shopping center and through a separate entrance from the outside (Saltoniškių st.).

The doors of this Rimi Express store will be open for visitors daily from 9 am to 10 pm. Buyers in a hurry will be able to shop at self-service checkouts specially adapted for small-format stores, and regular checkouts and the Perlo terminal will also work. Together with Rimi, the Formosa bubble tea bar was also located in this space.

On Thursday, the opening day, visitors to the new store will be greeted with special discounts, a tasting, a chance to spin the wheel of fortune, as well as free distribution of Mano Rimi loyalty cards. And until April 29 customers can also take advantage of special offers, for example, when buying Rimi dried fruits or nuts with a loyalty card, Rimi water (0.5 l) will cost only 1 cent, and when buying a hot drink and a Rimi sandwich set, it will cost only 2, 49 EUR. More special offers await shoppers throughout the month.
