To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Lithuania’s membership in NATO – a photo exhibition – AINA

In the Panevėžys district municipality, an exhibition of photographs by military doctor Major Vygintas Sereikas is on display in the lobby of the first floor, dedicated to commemorating the 20th anniversary of Lithuania’s membership in NATO.

Both warfare and medicine have been shrouded in a kind of mystery since ancient times. The author, who has been serving in the Lithuanian army for more than 20 years, tries to capture the most interesting moments of this specific field with his camera and share the difficult, stressful, responsible, and sometimes funny moments of the life of soldiers.

V. Sereika, who participates as an instructor in field exercises, training, and military training sessions, often takes a camera in his hands, so many of his photos are “straight from the scene”.

The Ministry of National Defense invites all Lithuanian municipalities, cities and towns to celebrate an important anniversary together – Lithuania has been a member of the world’s strongest defense organization, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), for 20 years.

Friday, March 29, 12 p.m. throughout Lithuania, a ceremony of raising the Lithuanian and NATO flags is called for.

The event dedicated to this occasion will also take place in the Panevėžys district municipality administration.
