Already from April 15 the compensation increases more than twice for the purchased individual household sewage system.
The Alytus District Municipal Council approved the draft decision. The Municipal Administration and Architecture Department of the Alytus District Municipal Administration has been waiting for applications, which were first coordinated with SĮ “Simno komunalininkas”, since mid-April.
50 percent of the purchase costs of an individual household wastewater treatment plant will be financed, but not more than 700 euros per unit.
Individual household wastewater treatment plants are financed only in the case where there is no technical possibility to connect to centralized wastewater networks.
By increasing the financed amount, residents are encouraged to install domestic wastewater treatment facilities and thus manage the resulting wastewater correctly, without harming nature when wastewater is discharged in prohibited ways.
Last year, 117 purchased individual household wastewater facilities for people living in Alytus district were financed.
