What is unique here, if there are at least a few dozen such cars sold around the world? The Engler FF is unique in that it is not a real car.
Basically, it is an extremely powerful four-wheeler, so-called quadricycle, because this car is controlled not by a round steering wheel like in cars, but by a straight handlebar like in motorcycles. This super quad is equipped with a twelve cylinder engine. The British promise to launch its production next year.
Engler already makes ATVs of similar capacity. The Engler Desat is currently fitted with a Lamborghini engine that has been boosted to just over 1,000 horsepower, and the new model will be noticeably more powerful.
The old one uses only an eight-cylinder engine, and the owner of the company, according to the media, always dreamed of having an ATV with a twelve-cylinder engine, and now it has become possible – the engineers managed to fit such a large engine into the ATV.
Engler Automotive will soon begin testing the new prototype and plans to certify this new model by the end of the year, and begin production next year. It is expected to produce up to ten of these super monsters per year.
The base of this quad is a carbon fiber monocoque, just like regular supercars. Since it’s a quad, it doesn’t have a roof, so the body is still reinforced with titanium. Suspension parts are made of titanium, chrome and molybdenum and their alloys.
It features active aerodynamic elements that, depending on how it is depicted, can change their angles of attack, both during acceleration, braking and cornering. For now, the manufacturer does not announce the exact technical characteristics, but emphasizes that they will be crazy.
Preliminarily, this quadricycle weighs about 1200 kg. It is a two-seater, and you sit one behind the other like in regular four-wheelers. By the way, the seats are sewn from the same leather used in its production by Hermes, which sews extremely luxurious handbags.
It is interesting that this four-wheeler does not have pedals, and all control is transferred only to the handlebars. In theory, it can also be used by disabled people, that is, people who cannot control their legs. There is no word yet on the price of this highly unusual vehicle.
