Three Porsche Baltic crews will test their strength at the BaTCC – the Baltic Circuit Racing Championship, which will be held in Estonia. “During the qualifying run, each participant’s fastest lap of the track is recorded. Meanwhile, in the second part of the competition, a fierce battle rages between the racers, during which it is important to reach the highest speed and show the highest skill”, says Robertas Kupčikas, head of the Porsche Baltic team and professional racer.

N. Raudonis, one of the pilots of the Porsche Baltic team, points out that this competition is not intended to test the endurance of the racers, but their quick reaction when driving at a particularly high speed: “The sprint race is special in that it is not an endurance competition, during which many hours are spent in the car.

It is a short race of 20 laps of the track, where every participant wants to achieve the maximum result. Therefore, it is not surprising that during the championship there is a fierce battle and each participant tries to give all his strength in order to surpass the rivals.”

The championship will start this Friday. On the first day, the participants’ training and qualifying run will take place, and on Saturday the racers will start in the sprint competition.

As many as three Porsche Lietuva cars will appear in the competition in Estonia. One of them, Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, will be driven by N. Raudonis, for whom this race will be the first in history.
“Indeed, it will be quite a challenge after spending many hours in the racing simulator. I will compete in the BGT AM class in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport championship,” adds N. Raudonis.

The other two cars, Porsche 911 GT3 CUP, will be driven by L. Dirzys and E. Grazys. Racers already have experience driving this model. But regardless, it will be their first time competing in a sprint series race.

The “Porsche Baltic” team plans to participate in a total of 11 competitions during this year’s season. The BaTCC race is already the team’s third of the season.

Already this weekend, the BaTCC championship will be held in Estonia, at the Porsche Ring track in the city of Pernu, the most popular in the Baltic countries. Although the track has been in use for more than 30 years, its reconstruction was recently completed, along with the extension of the distance. The Porsche Ring track is easily accessible, safe and located in one of the most visited summer resorts in Estonia, where racers can relax after fierce competition.
