According to V. Bikaus, each person’s taste, not only in music, but also in Eurovision performances, is very different. However, he noted that the most important thing in this competition is the song.

“But the Irish show, for example, seems to have everything: beautifully shot, make-up, lights, but no song. I understand why they made it to the finals, but still, the totality of those things is what can potentially help them take first place,” said V. Bikus.

When asked about Silvester Belt’s performance, the famous man did not hide that he realized that “Luktelk” is his favorite song after the national selection in Lithuania.

“I may not agree with certain elements, but the song itself and the artist are great. I have no complaints. However, yesterday’s semi-final, in my opinion, highlighted one problem that we have already going to Eurovision. That problem is money. We don’t have the ability to put on a spectacular show that would support a piece of electronic dance music. Povilas and the whole team did an amazing job: lights, cameras, but if there were more props, even smarter visualization solutions, I think it would raise the show to another level. And I really liked Silvestro’s song, he’s really cool,” said V. Bikus.

According to him, if the performer has a good song and additional resources for the things he mentioned before, the performance would only be even better.

“It doesn’t guarantee a win by any means, but it takes it to the next level,” the interviewer said.

He noticed that Lithuanians have not sent a single bad taste song to Eurovision for almost a decade.

“I still look at this competition as a musician. I understand there’s the show, all the other production stuff, but above all, there’s the song. Like it or not. In the last decade, all the pop songs have been great and the performances have been stylish. You may not agree with some decisions, but the works are tasteful, artists nice. We don’t send those who we look at and think will be a shame,” said V. Bikus.

Delfi reminds that Silvester Belt entered the stage on the evening of May 7 with number 3. He was dressed in a red stage costume, the same one he wore during the rehearsal on Monday.

S. Belt’s performance made the journalists who gathered here in large numbers clap to the beat. There were also those who wanted to dance.

Before leaving for the Malmö Arena, the performer said that he is in a great mood, he is ready and happy.

“Today we started the day sensitively – a lot of emotions inside. But I’m really looking forward to the evening,” said Silvester Belt.

He said that after Monday’s rehearsal, he had a good rest, his friends pampered him with beauty treatments and calmed him down, so he managed to get a good night’s sleep.

True, when asked how the rehearsal went yesterday, the guy did not hide that it was a bit strange.

“It’s like you feel those emotions, but you know it’s not broadcast and it’s not completely real. I’m glad that when they announced during the rehearsal who was going to the finals, we made it,” Silvester Belt laughed.

Today, he said he felt he would actually make it to the finals and it would all work out perfectly.

“I’ve already started to feel the excitement, but it’s something I can control. He is very friendly and will definitely not derail me,” said the artist representing Lithuania.

His family also came to support him in the arena: “I’m really looking forward to it. I hope I will manage not to cry from those emotions. Thank you very much to everyone, let’s get busy!”

In February, he won the national Eurovision selection

Delphi reminds that in February, at the final of the selections for “Eurovision” held in Klaipėda’s “Švyturios” arena, Silvester Belt was declared the winner and wrapped himself in the Lithuanian flag. The performer shared his first impressions at the press conference immediately after the filming.

“We are very happy that a Lithuanian song will be performed on the Eurovision stage. We are ready to show that even though we are a small country, we can surprise,” Silvester Belt said at the press conference.

When asked what his first thought was when he found out that he won a ticket to the competition in Sweden, the artist was surprised: “Empty. Total emptiness. I just wanted to be in the moment, enjoy people’s reactions. I don’t know if the TV audience saw it, but everyone was standing here… It was me trying to absorb all that goodness.”

Silvester Belt admitted that he did not see the performance of any of the competitors, as he tried to control the overwhelming emotions that flooded him. “During all the performances, I sat locked in the room. Tears of happiness flowed. I tried not to cry anymore,” he said and admitted that he supported the group “Shower” the most.

The performer is extremely happy with the huge support of the audience and says that he has received many messages.

“People have written to me that they wake up at night and they hear “Luktelk”. It’s like a virus, said Silvester Belt. – I have already seen reviews in Europe where the reviewers try to sing while pronouncing the word “liuktelk” very sweetly.

The performer assured that the song “Luktelk” is a complete reflection of his character. “My personality is exactly like this song. Inside she is calm, maintained, lulling, but outside there is a rhythm. Inside, I’m also very calm, although I like to have fun,” S. Belt revealed.

Received praise from foreign journalists

On Monday evening, the first dress rehearsal took place in the Malmö Arena, where the participants of the first semi-final gathered. Silvester Belt, who came on stage and gave a stormy performance, was praised by media representatives from other countries gathered here.

“What wonderful lighting. It looks amazing. Listening to this song makes me shiver, I want to dance”, “Especially after such a slow song. This is amazing”, “I’m a total fan of this song”, “I really promise to vote for your representative”, – Delphi commented journalists from various European countries.

Silvester Belt, who appeared on stage with the song “Luktelk”, made people move, applause and shouts were heard.

“She is smart, young, stylish. And that nose ornament of his… it’s amazing,” Tali, the representative of Luxembourg, praised the artist on Monday.

To tell the truth, this nose ornament has been remembered by many. It looks like the bold styling detail was a great decision.
