This time, jokes and bursting energy offered to make something simple and satisfying. Best friends – singer Stano and composer Deivydas Zvonkus – were guests in the latest show “Valgoma ar nevalgoma”.

For them, Giedrius chose everyone’s favorite dumplings that are often in the refrigerator.

Dumpling equivalents can be found in most cultures around the world. According to Giedrius Savicks, it is best if the dough for such a dish is as thin as possible, and the filling is as abundant as possible.

Both Stano and D. Zvonkus say that dumplings are their favorite and life-saving dish in the household. Together, the men made four different dumpling recipes.

D. Zvonkus, who was dressed with fiery red hair and a mustache of the same color, joked that he came to “Eatable or not edible” precisely in order to have a hearty meal.

“My wife is very strict about my diet, she only allows me to eat herbs – that’s why I came to such a show to eat dumplings,” joked the guest.

Stano, who apologized to the audience and G. Savicka for his friend’s outbursts of energy, remembered his childhood spent on the Black Sea coast.

The singer told a funny story about cooking mussels. More precisely, animals called mussels.

“Mussels” were shells that grew near rocks in the sea. Who really was there, the devil knows…

We used to make a fire on some manhole cover and roast them,” Stano recalled.

Once, he was so poisoned by these “mussels” fried on the manhole cover that he can’t look at the real ones until now.

“If I come to a restaurant and someone next to me orders mussels, I either try to move or politely ask them not to eat them,” he said.

D. Zvonkus also told a no less memorable story. As a child, he asked his mother to cook a frog that he had brought home for him.

“Nowadays I would be taken somewhere. Mom should have been scared, but she wasn’t – she said that you should only eat the thighs and that she would put them in some kind of marinade.

They cooked those frog legs, I tasted one bite – the taste was similar to chicken,” said the composer.

According to Stan, times have changed a lot.

“If my six-year-old daughter Joana caught such a Zvonka that kills frogs, she would finish that Zvonka in the same place,” he laughed.

Which dish, apart from mussels, has not been eaten by Stan for a long time, where does D. Zvonkus get such unrelenting energy and which exotic combinations of dumplings are the tastiest? The answers are in the latest experimental cooking show.
