The dress rehearsal of the first semi-final took place on Monday.
After the rehearsal, Eurovision expert and editor of the eurodiena.lt portal Justas Buivydas shared his impressions and predictions for Lithuania with the news portal lrytas.lt.
According to J. Buivydas, Lithuania has many chances to reach the final.
“In this semi-final, there is a very strong start, where Lithuania, Ukraine, Ireland are. Lithuania’s chances are excellent. I think that after the semi-final we will be able to be proud of Silvestre”, said J. Buivydas.
When asked which countries, apart from Lithuania, he thought could be worthy of the final, he named three more representatives.
“After this semi-final, the Irish representative left the biggest impression. Of course, Ukraine’s performance is very strong, if it is not a victory, it is very close to it.
Well, I can’t forget to mention the Croatian, who is now the main favorite. After the dress rehearsal, the bookies also responded to this performance.
Croatia’s chances of winning are increasing while everyone else’s are slightly decreasing. A very great show, a lot of pyrotechnics, which was very suitable for this show. These 4 strongest countries are in the first semi-final”, J. Buivydas told the news portal lrytas.lt.
He also mentioned that the first semi-final is much more favorable for Lithuania.
“The second semi-final is stronger, at least for my taste. All my favorites except Sylvester are in the second semi-final.
If you have to discuss with the foreign media, the first semi-final can be hidden more easily. There are five, six countries that should feel confident and in the other semi-final there are eleven twelve countries that could be worthy of the final.
The first semi-final is a little weaker this year, but in any case, Lithuania could enter the final from any semi-final,” he said.
