“Today, an order was received from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus to urgently inspect non-strategic nuclear weapons carriers. The operational tactical missile complex “Iskander” and the squadron of aircraft “Su-25″ are being prepared to fulfill the given task”, according to the comments of the Minister of Defense Viktor Chrenin.

The inspection will be carried out according to the schedule of the country’s military commander-in-chief. During the inspection, the entire range of measures will be evaluated, including planning for the use of tactical nuclear weapons, preparation for their use, and their use, the report says.

It is reported that on May 6 The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the planned exercises to “increase the readiness of non-strategic nuclear forces to carry out combat missions.”

In March, Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened the West that Russia was “technically ready” to start a nuclear war.

Andrijus Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, while commenting on the intentions of the Russian Federation to hold tactical nuclear weapons training, stated that nuclear blackmail is a constant practice of V. Putin’s regime.
