For more than five years, Gabija has been married to one of the founders of Vinted, board member, investor Justas Janauskas, whose company Vinted is valued at more than a billion dollars. But the love story of Gabija and Justus began even before the business success reached a billion.

The writer knows very well how to start her life from scratch. Gabija spent twelve years abroad: she lived in London for five years, where she studied media and anthropology, then she stayed for seven years in Malaysia, on the island of Penang, where she established an independent arts center. However, love turned the woman’s life around and thanks to her current husband, Justas Jonauskas, one of the founders of the first unicorn Vinted, she returned to live in Lithuania.

Before the wedding, Gabija and Justas talked for a long time about the future marriage and even divorce, so they signed the marriage constitution, which consists of 50 pages, and notarized it. In the event of a divorce in the future, the couple would know who would get the pets, real estate, and other financial matters discussed.

“Every one of those things is answered very minutely. I believe that if we talk about divorce at a time when the relationship is in the best place, there will be no need for a divorce”, said Gabija Grušaitė in the LNK show “Bus visko”.

According to Gabija, Lithuanians are afraid to talk about divorce and what would happen to their spouses in the event of an accident.

“What if we get sick? We thought of a scenario of what would happen if we both died. Well, car accidents happen too. I know it doesn’t sound romantic, but the point of life is not to be afraid to ask the question. Who is left with our legacy, our dogs. We have a will in that case. We have agreed with our sisters and brothers what they should do in such a case. I would recommend everyone to have this conversation”, said Gabija Grušaitė.

A few years ago, her husband Justas retired from business, and Gabija decided to take the same step, now joking that they both took early retirement. Gabija devoted herself to writing, by the way, her agenda is very strict and disciplined. The writer gets up at six in the morning every day and sits down at the computer.

Gabija, who presented her third novel “Mushroom Dream” in the fall of last year, assures: I like to write slowly about topical issues – about what she and her generation are going through. The writer says that each book symbolizes a certain stage of Gabija’s life.

The first work “Unfulfillment” appeared in London, the second novel was published in Malaysia. For a long time, Gabija did not introduce herself as a writer, saying – until I publish thousands of books, I will not be able to call myself that. Gabija’s work has been awarded prestigious literary prizes, according to the writer, this forces her to move forward and she already has a new book in her mind.

The entire story of Gabija Grušaitė – this Tuesday evening, at 8 p.m., on the program “Bus visko” on LNK.
