In 2023, the income of the “Agrochemos” group of companies amounted to 422.9 million. euros, that is 17.6 percent. down from 2022, when sales revenue was $512.9 million. euros. Group’s net consolidated loss in 2023 amounted to 285.6 thousand euros.
“Last year in the agricultural sector was distinguished by a dry and later spring, as well as a change in the behavior of farmers both when buying fertilizers and selling grains. The biggest influence on the group’s sales was the fall in fertilizer prices, lower grain buying and selling prices, and lower use of plant care products in the market,” said Aurimas Lukoševičius, CEO of Agrochema.
Despite the general decrease in the demand for agribusiness goods in 2023, the Agrochemos group of companies sold fertilizers by 7 percent. more than in 2022, 1.75 times more grain was exported. The main grain export destinations were African countries, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Europe.
The company in 2023 continued to invest in sustainable business solutions: solar power plants were installed in the units, which generate about 30 percent of of the amount of electricity consumed by the company, invested in the infrastructure of liquid fertilizer sales and the first automatic fertilizer self-service column in Lithuania. Last year, the company opened the first e-store in Lithuania. a shop for farmers selling agricultural goods for professional use.
“Agrochemas” group of companies consists of 3 companies: UAB “Agrochema”, SIA “Agrochema Latvia”, “Agrochema Eesti” OU. The company buys the crops grown by the farmers in 10 elevators and 2 grain buying yards. Agrochemos products can be purchased in 9 branded stores in Lithuania and 1 in Latvia, as well as in electronic stores for farmers, gardeners and gardeners. At the end of 2023, 372 employees worked in the group of companies.
In 2024, the “Agrochemos” group of companies plans 424.3 million. euro turnover.
