After meeting in the last debate open to the public before the elections, the 8 candidates seeking the post of President will answer all the most important questions of concern to the public, but not yet answered.

Watch the “Great TV3 debates” from the House of Lords, which will be conducted by Edmundas Jakilaitis, this Friday live on TV3.

“This debate is unique in that it will be open to the public. As the debate broadcaster TV3 declares that it is the people’s television, this debate will also be for the people. The questions we will ask the candidates will be precisely those that concern the public the most”, asserts E. Jakilaitis.

Viewers can expect a simple, comprehensible, yet engaging format – classic debates will be accompanied by conversations and discussions about the most important issues and challenges ahead. And while the debate will have strict rules, it will also leave space for the candidates to debate with each other.

“Candidates are waiting for a round of questions, as well as my personal questions for specific candidates. However, the greatest uniqueness of this Friday’s debate is that a large part of the questions that I will convey to the candidates have already been asked or will be asked by the readers of the tv3.lt news portal. These issues are ranked, so it will be obvious which issues are the most pressing for the public,” says the presenter.

Although, according to E. Jakilaitis, one can get the impression from the questions asked by the residents and their assessment that the most important topics for society are security, social welfare and international political issues, the final decision of the undecided voters will be determined by many other factors.

“I think that it is no less important than the content of the answer for voters to see what impression the candidate leaves. The final decision is determined by many factors: how the candidate answers, how he behaves, how he reacts to others, whether he is easily distracted, whether he is a cold professional or emotional. It is important for residents to form an image of a person – whether that person can be trusted or not”, the journalist shares his opinion.

The subpage of tv3.lt created especially for this debate is not the only place where people can ask the candidates what is most important to them.

Voters are invited to do all this and watch the debate live upon arrival. The choice of the House of Lords for this debate is not accidental – it is a historical location associated with governance and leadership.

“I hope the weather will be great – so far the forecast says it won’t be too cold. So I expect a large group of spectators. A microphone will be waiting for them in the courtyard of the House of Lords, through which the guests of the debate will be able to ask their questions live,” says E. Jakilaitis.

The debate lasted for almost 3 hours without breaks – during the advertising break on television, viewers will continue to be able to watch the speeches of the candidates on various issues online, on the news portal tv3.lt.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, viewers will be invited to wait together for the results of the Presidential elections with a special program from 9:30 p.m. – “TV3 news. Elections”.

“The big TV3 debates” – already this Friday, at 7:30 p.m. on TV3!
