A poll commissioned by BNS “Vilmorus” states that more than half of Lithuanian residents are against any deployment of our forces in Ukraine. About 15 percent of those polled are in favor, but only in the event that the allies would do the same, and a similar number – they are in favor of sending troops , but only to train Ukrainians.Such discussions began after French President Emmanuel Macron began to consider the possibility of sending troops from Western countries to Ukraine.

Experts say that E. Macron is taking leadership in this way, but his considerations are probably only rhetorical. Allegedly, this is just an attempt to scare the Kremlin. Vilnius takes these considerations of Paris seriously, sending military instructors to Ukraine would be approved or considered by all parliamentary parties, except the peasants and the Greens. So, should we consider sending military trainers to Ukraine? What are the arguments for and against? Does Ukraine need Western military trainers on its territory? How likely is it that crossing such lines would not start a war between NATO and Russia?

The second part of the show. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte visited Lithuania. He is seen as the most realistic candidate for the post of NATO Secretary General. Who decides who becomes NATO Secretary General? How is M. Rutte likely to differ from Jens Stoltenberg? Why is NATO still afraid of the leader of the Alliance from the Eastern flank?
