“Ritas” enters the playoffs with clear heads: “There is no more room for mistakes”

In the last match on the road, the Vilnius team even blew away Pasvali’s “Milk Stars” by 124:89 and not only won their 24th victory, but also achieved the club’s highest performance result since 2008.

“We won all the quarters, shared the time, avoided injuries, which would be very painful in such a season, before the playoffs,” Ryto’s strategist Giedrius Žibėnas said after the match in Pasvaly. – Everyone got the so-called cardio. The Vilnius team became LKL champions last season, and last year they came close to defeating Kaunas “Žalgiris” in the final. For G. Žibėn, this will be the fourth LKL playoff at the helm of “Ryto”. What is most important in decisive battles?

“The schedule will be more intense, match after match, which is what every player wants. The most important thing is to be together, to prepare as best as possible and to know that there is no time for correction in the playoffs. All sporting ambitions must rise. It’s not every day we fight over something. Life goes on, we don’t get any younger, so we have to take advantage of opportunities. There is no more room for mistakes, there is a need to perform at the highest level. We have to be ready for it from the first game, not look further, but only to the first game. We have to go into that match with the right attitude,” said the specialist.

“Rytas” will start the quarter-final streak up to two wins on Monday, when they host CBet of Jonava at home.
