The contenders for the Premier League Player of the Season award have been announced

The English Premier League season has reached the full finish line and the nominees for the player of the season award were announced on Thursday.

Premier League title contenders Manchester City and London Arsenal each have two players on this list. Phil Foden and Erling Haaland can win this award from the “townsmen”, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard from the “gunners”.

Alexander Isak (Newcastle United), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) are also in the running.

The candidates to win the award for the best young player of the English Premier League season have also been announced.

As many as four footballers can win in this category, who also claim the prize for the best player of the season in general: Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Alexander Isak and Cole Palmer.
