As you know, after the new mobilization law of Ukraine, an athlete who does not have a properly issued permit may be subject to forced conscription.

The operational management of “Vakarai” recently released a report in which it commented on the delivery of Mykola Siraš, a football player of the “Chust” team, to the territorial recruiting and social support center.

“We are rooting for Ukrainian football, but Ukraine’s defense is a higher priority,” the Telegram statement said.

The Chust club, which plays in the second echelon of the country, was outraged when their footballer was called up to defend his country.

However, the operational management, which submitted a response, notes that the mobilization process is strictly regulated.

“If an athlete does not have a legitimate reason and a properly issued exemption permit, they may be subject to a mobilization call-up. At a time when hundreds of great athletes in the ranks of the defense forces heroically fight against the aggressor, sometimes even at the cost of their lives, it is strange, to put it mildly, that the football club’s attempt to make its players privileged over other citizens of Ukraine and to put the interests of the football club above the defense of the country is strange, to say the least. in the message.

On Tuesday, mobilization officers arrested Mr. Siraš at the railway station in Khust and later brought him to the military registration office. It is noted that the footballer is not yet 25 years old.

The football club stated that such actions of officials are ruining Ukrainian football and the national championship.

It can be recalled that the Ukrainian Football Association and five other Ukrainian football clubs – “Kryvbas”, “Shakhtar Donetsk”, “Obolon”, “Dnipro-1” and “Dynamo Kyiv” – have been granted emergency status by the country’s authorities.

These clubs are “untouchable” because, according to the Ministry of Defense, their existence and players are crucial to the functioning of Ukraine’s economy.
