In this 12-round fight, the Lithuanian delivered many precise blows to his opponent and did not raise any questions for the judges.

117:111, 118:110, 119:109 – this was the verdict announced by the arbitrators and E. Stanionis defended the championship belt won a little more than two years ago for the first time.

“I felt a bit rusty, after all, it’s been two years without a fight, but next time I’ll come back stronger,” said the world champion in a good mood as he left the arena.

According to statistics, the man from Kaunas made 771 blows, his opponent – 802. However, E. Stanionos’ strikes were much more accurate and more emphasized.

The winner averaged 11 successful jabs per round, double the average of welterweight fighters.

In total, E. Stanionis performed 136 “jabs” out of 359 (37.9%), G. Maestre – only 53 out of 280 (18.9%).

In the professional ring, Eimantas won all 15 of his fights, nine of them by knockout.

We will remind you that E. Stanionis last fought in April 2022, when he defeated Rajab Butajeva by different decision of the judges and won the WBA regular welterweight world champion title.
