The match between Ukraine and the Netherlands was stopped for half an hour, leaving three undefeated teams in the championship

On Sunday, two rounds were played at the World Hockey Division I Group B tournament in Vilnius, after which three teams remained undefeated.

In the last match on Sunday, one of the favorites of the group is the Ukrainian national team 4:0 (2:0, 1:0, 1:0) defeated the Dutch team.

In terms of shots on goal, the Ukrainians dominated even more – 44 to 15.

With just over 10 minutes to play in the first half, the referees had to stop the game to fix a broken ice near the sideboard. As this could not be done quickly, the teams returned to the locker room and the game was suspended for nearly half an hour before the ice was finally cleared and the first period extended.

After the first two days, the national teams of Ukraine, China and Lithuania march victoriously in the championship. Due to the better ratio of scored/missed goals, the Ukrainians are first, the Chinese – second, and the Lithuanians – third.

On Monday, the championship will have a day off, and then the teams will return to the ice for the decisive battles.

Already on Tuesday in the first match of the day from 12:30 p.m. the favorite national teams of Ukraine and China will face each other, while Lithuanians will face the challenge of the Netherlands, who have not yet won.

On Wednesday, the Lithuanian national team will try to beat China, and on Friday, they will finish the championship with a meeting with Ukraine.

Looking at the statistics, the Lithuanians have the most disciplined game in the championship so far and are one of the least fouled teams (6 times with 2 penalty minutes each). Only the Spaniards play more disciplined than ours, while Estonia, the Netherlands and Ukraine have been fouled 8 times with 2 penalty minutes each.

The Lithuanian national team has had a quantitative advantage 7 times and so far has scored one goal in the majority, and this, together with China, is the best result in the championship of 3-4. According to these statistics, the Ukrainians are in the lead, having scored 2 goals out of 5 quantitative advantage attempts.

Paulius Gintautas, Markas Kaleinikovas and Povilas Verenis have scored two goals each in the Lithuanian national team, and P. Gintautas has collected the most utility points (3), who ranks fourth among the players of the entire championship, behind the Chinese Yuyang Hou (2+3) and Tianyou Zuo (1+3) and Ukrainian Olexander Peresunko (2+2).
