This season is the last stop of an impressive football era, so we can look forward to an eventful summer.

In Germany, Bayern Munich’s dominance has ended – even the Bavarians, who have won 11 Bundesliga titles in a row, had no chance of standing against Bayer Leverkusen’s dominance this season.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel revealed at the start of February that he would have to leave the club in the summer, making the German team the ninth different manager in the last eight years.

The Liverpool team is already looking for a new helmsman. Jurgen Klopp, the strategist who revived the club and led it to titles since 2015, decided to leave the team and take a break from football for at least a year.

The German has shown in Liverpool what none of his predecessors have been able to do – in 2020. led the club to the top of the Premier League for the first time in its history. There can be no doubt that the fans’ expectations for the new coach will not be lower.

Another European football giant will also lose another coach in the summer. Barcelona icon Xavi will no longer coach after this season after turning down an offer to stay.

The Catalan has been in charge since 2021 and returned debt-ridden Barca to the top of the Spanish league last season after a three-year absence.

There may be more changes – this season in England, both Manchester United and London Chelsea are stuck once again. Both teams move beyond the first six and may also meet with a new coach next season.

The higher the level, the less suitable candidates there will be for the mentioned teams. One of them has already slammed the door on all offers this offseason.

Opponents have no chance

“He was coached by Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich, myself and Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid and Rafael Benitez at Liverpool.

He was a great football player, much better than me, and his father was also a coach. When everything is put together, he has the opportunity to become a very good strategist”, – this is how Jose Mourinho predicted Xabi Alonso’s future in 2019.
