Zalgiris, which has 13 wins and 18 losses, shares the 14th-15th place with Bayern Munich.

The four clubs above (Olimpia, Partizan Belgrade, Anadolu Efes Istanbul and Valencia) have won 14 times each, and all six of these teams continue to fight for 10th place and the last ticket to the playoffs.

Theoretically, Vitoria-Gasteiz “Baskonia” (16-15), which is currently in the 9th position, can also enter this fight, but one victory in the last three rounds is enough for the Basques to avoid calculations and secure a place in the playoffs.

“Zalgiris” is in the most difficult situation of all the teams. “lost gps” calculated that the chances of the Kaunas team reaching the playoffs are only 2.3 percent, and any defeat of the Zalgiris team can now be fatal.

The Euroleague has presented two scenarios, which, if they occur, the hopes of relegation of “Žalgiris” would fail already tonight.

The first – if “Žalgiris” loses to “Olimpia” club by more than 6 points.

In this case, two wins in the last two rounds would bring the team coached by Andrea Trinchieri into a tie with Olimpia and at least one other team (Partizan or Valencia), but the Kaunas would no longer have hopes of being the best in a tie of three or more teams and securing 10th place place

The second scenario, which would slam all the doors shut, is Zalgiris losing by any margin and Partizan winning at home against Olympiakos Piraeus.

In this case, the best that Zalgiris could hope for after the regular season is a tie with Olimpia, Partizan, Valencia and/or Bayern and Anadolu Efes, but if you count the results between all these teams, the Kaunas are by no means would not be higher than other teams and would remain 11th at best.

In the event of a victory against the Milan team, Zalgiris will certainly retain at least a sliver of opportunity before the remaining two rounds, in which they will have to take tests from one of the strongest Euroleague teams – Monaco (away) and Real Madrid (at home).
