Panevėžys develops services for the disabled and implements the “Harmony City” construction project.
At Aguonų and A. Baranauska st. intersection, the rapidly rising “City of Harmony” is a modern complex service center for disabled children and their family members. It is planned to complete the construction works this year, centers for consultation and education, specialized family support, day care, temporary respite, and continuous training should be established.
The complex services center will provide general and special social services, early rehabilitation services for children with disabilities, various therapies, speech therapist, psychologist, rehabilitologist, special pedagogue, movement correction and other specialized services.
Currently fully installed over 1400 sq. m two-story building, finished facade decoration, installed windows and doors.
Inside the building, finishing works and laying of engineering networks are being carried out. In the near future, it is planned to carry out well-being installation works – tidy up the environment, install a children’s playground, small architectural elements.
It is estimated that after the implementation of the project, it will be possible to serve up to 70 people, 25 workplaces of qualified specialists will be established, conference rooms, a cloakroom, technical and sanitary facilities, and a cafe will be installed. It is planned to install more than 20 parking spaces outside.
After the construction of the “City of Harmony” children and families with disabilities and developmental disorders will be ensured timely and high-quality complex services.
