Alytiski’s beloved Jaunim Park is awaiting changes – the reconstruction of the bridge will soon begin here.
UAB Švykai, which won the public procurement tender for bridge reconstruction works, will carry them out. On Thursday, the leaders of the Alytus city municipality met with the representatives of this company and discussed the progress of the planned reconstruction of the Youth Park bridge.
As the contractors informed, the bridge reconstruction work is planned to start this month.
Any repair work always causes inconvenience – these are no exception. During the reconstruction of the bridge, the territory will be fenced off, so the people of Aly who are used to coming to Jaunim Park via the bridge will not be able to do so for a while – they will have to choose another route.
What works are planned?
During the reconstruction of the Jaunimos Park bridge, the demolition of the existing bridge covering and structures, the lifting of the cover beams and the replacement of the support bearings will be carried out. The columns of the intermediate supports of the bridge were repaired, the installation of decking elements was carried out, the lighting of the bridge was installed, the pedestrian paths from the bridge to Vilties street and from the bridge to Parkos st. coating
