I have been here for three years and two months. Neither in the first year of the tank training school nor in the two years in the line tank regiment did I hear a single word of the so-called Okra language. Friendly, hardworking, responsible guys from the Ural mountains, Stalinist Ukraine in the middle of Asia served. When they got together during their free hours Latvians, Estonians, Lithuanians and Uzbeks all spoke their native language, and from Okra only Russian. Even in the tank crew we had a guy from Ukraine, all the misfortunes of the nation were told. The falsifiers of history argue that two related nations are fighting. I am silent among historians of the division. The peoples of the world, who do not know how to get along, especially in the West. There lived and still live ethical Rusenians, excellent, hardworking, friendly, educated people.

And Ukrainians don’t speak Russian? Because I couldn’t find someone who could speak Ukrainian
