“Honorable court, I do not admit guilt according to the stated articles,” said the politician after hearing the accusations.

Talked about a mistake

STT filed the allegations against him in early January. Having received suspicions about “cheques”, the ex-mer of Alytus district returned 20 thousand back in January. EUR used benefits of the member of the municipal council and suspended his membership in the Patriotic Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats (TS-LKD) party.

A. Vrubliauskas has been a party member since 1996.

After the hearing, the journalist asked the defendant why he returned 20 thousand. euros if you think you are innocent. His defender hastened to answer for the policy, uttering the word “error”.

“It is not even clear whether it was necessary to return it or not. In accounting, there is both that and that. He’s not an accountant,” the lawyer smiled.

The case has been adjourned. Several witnesses will be questioned at the next hearing.
