The schoolgirl was saved by a watchman and a guard
Evelina Žukauskienė, head of the Alytus Šaltinė pro-gymnasium, said that two school employees prevented the husband from taking the minor.
“An unknown elderly man came and approached the schoolgirl and tried to take her with him, but then the school janitor and guard reacted,” 15 minutes said the school principal.
“They approached him and pulled the girl out of his grip. That man turned and left,” she added.

According to her, the police were immediately called, who arrived about half an hour later and reported that the man had been arrested at the nearby gymnasium.
“After visiting us, he went to the Putin Gymnasium. He was with us at 7:39. At first, we thought that some parents were here, maybe some grandfather. And I asked the same girl. We were all really shocked”, said E. Žukauskienė.
“It was such a shock”
Daiva Sabaliauskienė, head of the Putinai Gymnasium 15 minutes claimed that a man grabbed two girls at school and tried to take them out.
“A person came in, just terrorized, hanged two girls, that come come with mebut the police and an ambulance were called and that was the end of it,” the headmistress of the school recalled.

According to her, the man soon left the school, but one of the school staff caught up with him and brought him back to the school.
“He didn’t resist. He explained that these are his girls, but he is definitely not a relative of those girls (…) We responded quickly, because it was such a shock,” said D. Sabaliauskienė.
Taken to hospital
Alytus county police representative Kristina Janulevičienė 15 minutes said that a resident of Alytus district born in 1951 was arrested.
“At first Putini Gymnasium contacted that schoolgirls were attacked, later it was reported that the same incident happened in Šaltini pro-gymnasium, but at that time the man was already arrested,” said K. Janulevičienė.
According to her, the man first attacked a minor in the Šaltinė pro-gymnasium, and then went to the Putini gymnasium, a few hundred meters away, where he was later arrested.
The police brought the man to the hospital for a psychiatric examination, administrative proceedings were initiated for a minor violation of public order.
