In a meeting between the representatives of the Panevėžys Territorial Sickness Fund (TLK) and another group of graduates from the city’s Juozas Miltinii Gymnasium, students showed interest in compulsory health insurance (PSD). They listened and showed that they had heard the information, as they answered many of the questions of the health insurance specialists correctly. In the feedback questionnaires, the graduates said that they learned a lot, broadened their horizons about the health care system, learned about things that they would not have found information about on their own. Some claimed that they wanted to learn more than was possible in one lesson.

Here are some answers to less frequently asked questions that are relevant for future full-time (full-time) students.

  • Are Lithuanian students prohibited from PSD during their academic holidays? Yes.
  • If permanent (full-time) studies in Lithuania are terminated and the young person is removed from the student list, when does the young person become obligated to pay the PSD fee? The following month after the end of the month of termination of studies, because the state pays health insurance premiums only for the period of study.
  • Until when is the state-funded PSD valid for students who finish their studies in the winter? Until the last day of the month of graduation.

We would like to thank Dalia Grinevičiūta, Juoz Miltinii’s high school career specialist teacher, for the meetings with high school graduates!
