According to CEC data, on the first day of early voting in the presidential elections and the referendum on the preservation of citizenship, a total of more than 40.6 thousand voters voted. This is 1.7 percent of the total number of voters.
Five years ago, in 2019 almost 17,000 people voted on the first day of advance voting in the presidential elections held in voters (voter turnout – 0.7%).
This year, as usual, the largest number of voters cast their votes in advance in the capital.
The largest number of voters went to the Vilnius City Municipality, as well as to the polling stations located in Lukiškiau Square and the square near the Vilnius Press House and in the premises of Vytautas the Great University in Kaunas.
On the first day of early voting, the residents of Neringa municipality were the most active. The most passive so far are the voters of Šalčininkai district.
1.35% of voters voted in Tauragė district on Tuesday. voters – 386 voters came to the ballot boxes. Voters are actively going to the ballot boxes even today – in the morning, there was a queue of people who wanted to vote at the polling station installed in the premises of the Tauragė district municipality. 11:30 a.m. Tadas Pauparis, the chairman of the Tauragė District Election Commission, said that 221 voters had already voted this morning.
– Everything is going well so far. I think that others go to vote after seeing reports about active voters in the media. We have no complaints yet, – said T. Pauparis.

Voters can vote at any early voting location, regardless of where they have declared their place of residence.
