At least 25 baits with rabies vaccine will be scattered per square kilometer. In total, about 505,000 baits will be scattered on the territory of Lithuania.
If the meteorological weather conditions are favorable, the spring vaccination of wild animals against rabies is planned to be completed on June 30, the VMVT report indicates.
VMVT reminds that baits containing vaccines meet safety standards. If you find such a bait, please do not touch it and do not collect it, and immediately report it to the VMVT. Specialists will come to collect them.
If you notice that the bait was accidentally found and eaten by a pet, it is recommended to monitor its health for a few days and consult a veterinarian. It should be noted that these baits are not dangerous for pets, but complications are possible if they are overdosed.
