Frost in Lithuania
According to specialists, the strongest cold hit Anykščiai.
“Tuesday in Lithuania was dry, sunny and fresh. The highest air temperature was just reaching 10-14 degrees. Well, the night because of the clear sky and the cool air masses were cold. Frosts are fixed in many places, both in the air and on the surface of the soil. The lowest air temperature (at a height of 1.5 m) was -2…+1 °C, the warmest was in Nida and Vente, about 3-4 degrees Celsius. The temperature on the surface of the soil (at a height of 5 cm) dropped to 0-6 degrees Celsius. Frosts on the soil surface were recorded throughout the country, except Nida and Vente.
The strongest cold was in Anykščiai, where the temperature on the soil surface (at a height of 5 cm) dropped even to -6.3 °C. Meanwhile, the air temperature (at a height of 1.5 m) dropped the most in Utena and Šalčininkai, to -2.2 °C,” the post reads.
Wednesday will be without significant rain. Wind from the north, 6-11 m/s. The highest temperature is 10-15 degrees Celsius.
It will rain briefly in some places on THURSDAY. Wind changing direction, 4-9 m/s. The temperature at night is 1-6 degrees Celsius, in Eastern Lithuania the air in some places, the surface of the soil will be frosty in many places 0-5 degrees Celsius, during the day 10-15 degrees Celsius.
FRIDAY night in the northwestern part of the country, during the day it will rain in many places. Wind at night south, southwest, 5-10 m/s, during the day west, northwest, 7-12 m/s. The temperature at night is 3-8 degrees Celsius, the surface of the soil will be frosty at 0-3 degrees Celsius, during the day 10-15 degrees Celsius.
It will rain a little in some places on SATURDAY night. Wind northwest, north, 5-10 m/s at night, 7-12 m/s during the day. The temperature at night is 1-6 degrees Celsius, the surface of the soil will be frosty in some places – 0-3 degrees Celsius. It will warm up to 11-16 degrees during the day.
No rain is expected on SUNDAY. Northerly wind, 4-9 m/s at night, 6-11 m/s during the day. The temperature at night is 1-6 degrees Celsius, the ground surface will be 0-5 degrees cold in many places. It will warm up to 12-17 degrees during the day.
According to current estimates, the next few days will gradually warm up.
