In the course of military exercises, a curfew has been introduced in Vilnius’ Viršuliškii and Aukšųų Panerių districts and in Kaunas’ Palemons territory from Tuesday to Wednesday. During it, the special vehicles intended for the exercise were stopped by commando shooters, and passing civilians were checked by police officers.

A man with drugs was caught

Late on Tuesday evening in Vilnius, on Justiniškių Street, the officers participating in the exercise caught a man in possession of drugs.

It is said that at 11:57 p.m. possible narcotic substances were found with the driver of the stopped BMW car. According to preliminary data, a driver born in 1989 earned money.

Officers found a plastic bag with a plant-based narcotic substance, possibly cannabis, a metal chopper and a jar with narcotic residue.

Due to the finding, the officers started a pre-trial investigation in accordance with Article 259 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania. (illegal possession of narcotic or psychotropic substances without the intention of distributing them).
